Algeria's Ministry of Public Works and Basic Facilities has announced the temporary reopening of two tunnels on the vital North-South highway. Minister Abdelkader Ouali, accompanied by the governors of Blida and M\u00e9d\u00e9a provinces, inspected the ongoing repair work on a technical fault affecting the highway section linking Chiffa in Blida and Hamdania in M\u00e9d\u00e9a.<\/p>\n
Following assurances that all traffic safety conditions have been met and a continuous monitoring system is in place, the minister and governors oversaw the temporary reopening of the first two tunnels connecting Hamdania and Chiffa, heading towards Algiers. This move precedes the full completion of all repair works.<\/p>\n
Regarding the ongoing work on the two tunnels connecting Chiffa and Hamdania in the direction of Djelfa, the minister issued directives for urgent measures. These include mobilizing all available resources, particularly technical equipment and means, and deploying additional teams to expedite the completion and opening of the remaining two tunnels as soon as possible.<\/p>\n
The minister emphasized the critical importance of coordination among all stakeholders, including central ministry services, local authorities, and relevant interveners. This collaboration is essential to ensure the smooth progress of the remaining works at an accelerated pace, allowing for their swift completion while consistently prioritizing the safety of all users of the North-South highway.<\/p>\n
