In an extensive interview with the French magazine 'Onze Mondial', Zidane was queried about the significance of donning the national team's colours, acknowledging the responsibilities and expectations that come with it.<\/p>\n
"When I wear the Algerian jersey, I feel emotions that I don't find anywhere else, neither with my club nor anywhere else," Zidane responded. He further elaborated on the palpable support from the Algerian fanbase, noting that "having this crowd behind us gives us positive pressure.
