By providing substantial additional volumes of potable water, they have significantly reduced reliance on dam reserves, which are often vulnerable to drought. Further enhancing this initiative, more desalination plants are under construction in wilayas including Tlemcen, Mostaganem, Tizi Ouzou, Chlef, Jijel, and Skikda. Currently, 16 wilayas are supplied by 19 stations and several monobloc units.<\/p>\n
