Key discussions centered on the development of a phosphate fertilizer production complex. This ambitious project, alongside an integrated phosphate initiative designed for the production of ammonia and urea, is slated for a production launch in the first quarter of 2027. Concurrently, the expansion project for the port of Annaba is scheduled for completion during the same period, positioning it to handle the initial phosphate export shipments.<\/p>\n
Further underscoring the commitment to national development, the meeting also addressed the financing and expedited commencement of the Algeria-Tamanrasset railway line. It was decided that construction will begin no later than September, divided into three major phases: Ouargla-In Salah, In Salah-Tamanrasset, and Tamanrasset-In Salah. This transformative rail link is expected to significantly enhance logistical capabilities and economic integration across the country.<\/p>\n
The session was attended by key government figures, including Prime Minister Nadir Larbaoui, Minister of State, Inspector General of State Services and Local Authorities, Brahim Merad, Minister of State, Minister of Hydrocarbons, Mohamed Arkab, Minister of Finance, Laaziz Faid, Governor of the Bank of Algeria, Rachid Belaid, and the CEO of Sonatrach, Rachid Hachichi.<\/p>\n
