Minister Seibou expressed strong confidence in Naftal's technical and industrial capabilities, affirming that the Algerian company's expertise is well-suited to meet Niger's market needs and support the development of its hydrocarbon sector. He reiterated Niger's commitment to fostering the existing cooperation between Naftal and the Nigerien National Oil Company (Sonidep), pledging government support for joint ventures established under the framework of bilateral cooperation agreements.

This high-level engagement underscores the distinguished level of cooperation between Algeria and Niger, reflecting a shared ambition to realize promising investment projects. These initiatives are expected to bolster economic integration and reinforce South-South cooperation efforts.

Further advancing these objectives, Naftal's delegation held working sessions with Sonidep officials to discuss the business plan for a bitumen production unit. This site is deemed ideal for the strategic project, poised to significantly enhance domestic bitumen production and distribution capabilities.

These engagements have provided Naftal with a firsthand understanding of Niger's economic and regulatory environment, as well as its energy infrastructure. The visit has opened doors for potential collaborations and partnerships, aligning with Naftal's strategic goals of expanding its regional presence and leveraging its expertise across its diverse fields of operation.

Related topics: Naftal, Algeria Niger cooperation, investment projects, hydrocarbon sector, economic integration, Sonidep

DZWatch provides English-language coverage of Algeria-focused developments for international readers.

Algeria’s Naftal explores investment and partnership opportunities in Niger, focusing on joint projects in the hydrocarbon sector to boost economic…

[50

post-63984","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-economie-news
["GET
