Algeria's Civil Protection units have responded to a significant number of wildfires, extinguishing 45 blazes across 29 provinces in the last 24 hours. The incidents occurred amidst a prevailing heatwave and rising temperatures that exacerbated dry conditions.<\/p>\n
Several provinces reported active firefighting operations. In the B\u00e9ja\u00efa province, fires were put out in areas including Agouab, Tizi N'Berber, and Amizour. Tlemcen saw the suppression of bushfires and a forest fire in the Hnainine commune.<\/p>\n
Tizi Ouzou province dealt with multiple outbreaks, with firefighters tackling blazes in Freha, Waqnon, and A\u00eft Yahia. In S\u00e9tif, a vegetation fire was extinguished in Serdj El Ghoula, while another was managed in Ain Merane. Batna province reported the successful containment of a crops fire in Boulhelef.<\/p>\n
Further south, B\u00e9ja\u00efa province also experienced fires involving fruit trees and crops in Khirata and Draa El Kaaid. In Biskra, a palm grove fire was extinguished near Sidi Okba.<\/p>\n
The Bouira province reported crop fires in Roref, while Tiaret province saw similar incidents in Chehaima and Kortofa.<\/p>\n
Alger province extinguished a palm tree fire in Baba Hassan. In Djelfa, fruit trees caught fire in Dar Chioukh. S\u00e9tif province also managed to control a crop fire in Ain Wulman.<\/p>\n
Sa\u00efda province reported extinguished crop fires in Hount. Skikda saw fruit trees burn in Es Sebt, while Sidi Bel Abb\u00e8s reported crop fires along the National Road 109.<\/p>\n
Further east, Guelma province's civil protection units dealt with crop fires near N'machia. In Mostaganem, crop fires were managed in Benabdelmalki Ramdane.<\/p>\n
Wilaya of Mascara extinguished agricultural fires in Ghiriss. Oran province saw fires involving fruit trees in Hassi Ben Okba and crops in Oued Tlel. In Bordj Bou Arr\u00e9ridj, multiple crop and fruit tree fires were extinguished in Sidi Mbark, Ain Tsra, and El Jaafra.<\/p>\n
Tissemsilt province tackled crop fires in Khmisti. Mila province saw fruit trees burn in El Ayachi Barbas. Ain Defla province reported fires involving fruit trees and crops in Ain Bouyahya, Ain Soltan, and El Amra.<\/p>\n
