The Minister underscored the imperative to 'redouble efforts to elevate service quality across the entire nation, bolstering operational vigilance and technical coordination among all stakeholders.' In a strategic move to ensure smooth electoral processes, he also mandated the 'suspension of maintenance and updates from June 25 to July 5,' coinciding with the upcoming electoral events.<\/p>\n
Preparations for the summer tourist season were a key agenda item, with plans to deploy and reinforce over 300 mobile operator sites across 14 coastal wilayas. This initiative aims to significantly improve network coverage and manage the anticipated surge in demand for telecommunications and data services during the summer holidays.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, the Minister reaffirmed the commitment to continuing the universal service coverage programs. This includes the completion of a program to connect 1,400 residential areas and the preparation for a new initiative targeting an additional 3,000 areas in the second half of 2026. These programs are designed to effectively reduce the digital divide and enhance connectivity in underserved regions.<\/p>\n
