The large-scale event took place in the wilaya of Chlef, within the First Military Region, on Friday, June 26, 2026, coinciding with the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.<\/p>\n
The operation saw the destruction of an immense quantity of seized drugs, including 16,575 kg and 693 grams of processed cannabis, 1,000 kg and 322 grams of hard drugs like cocaine and heroin, 25,138,473 hallucinogenic pills, and 262 kg of psychotropic powder. The estimated total financial value of these confiscated substances amounts to over 50.4 billion Algerian Dinars (DZD).<\/p>\n
This significant undertaking was supervised by the National Committee for the Destruction of Drugs and Psychotropic Substances, led by the Public Prosecutor at the Chlef Court.
