Algeria – Algeria reaffirmed today in Malabo, the capital of Equatorial Guinea, its commitment and support for all initiatives aimed at enhancing economic cooperation and integration in Africa, according to a statement from the Ministry of Trade and Export Promotion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This announcement came during Algeria’s participation with a high-level delegation led by the Chief of Staff of the Minister of Trade and Export Promotion, Mrs. Souhila Ablaash, at the fourth ordinary session of the African Union’s Specialized Technical Committee on Trade, Tourism, Industry, and Mineral Resources. The session, held from May 13 to 17, is themed “Enhancing Africa’s Trade Competitiveness through the Development of Tourism, Industrial, and Mineral Resources.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On this occasion, the Algerian delegation delivered valuable contributions aligned with the objectives set out in the African Union’s agenda. Mrs. Ablaash highlighted Algeria’s pioneering experience in the topics discussed during the session, such as the experience with startups, e-commerce, the legal framework for free zones, support for small and medium enterprises, the green economy, and the European Union’s carbon border adjustment mechanism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mrs. Ablaash emphasized that Algeria “will remain a committed partner and supporter of all initiatives aimed at enhancing cooperation and economic integration in Africa,” urging “African countries to work together to achieve a better future for the continent’s peoples and to push continental trade towards promising horizons.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The ministerial meeting, scheduled to be held in Malabo later today, with Mrs. Ablaash representing the Minister of Trade and Export Promotion, will discuss the experts’ meeting report. The adopted resolutions will be announced tomorrow upon the conclusion of the meeting, the statement added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
