Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb chaired, on Wednesday, the third session of the National Council for Agricultural Mechanization. The meeting was devoted to reviewing the implementation of the decisions issued during the council\u2019s second session, which aim to develop and modernize agricultural mechanization in Algeria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This meeting comes amid highly positive preliminary results from this year\u2019s harvest and threshing campaign, which has recorded abundant production. This situation required an unprecedented mobilization of logistical resources, as well as the combined efforts of various actors, sectors, and state institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In this regard, the meeting allowed farmers and stakeholders active in this field to present their interventions and proposals. Discussions focused on the positive impact of providing different types of agricultural equipment, as well as mobilizing storage capacities received this season. These efforts have made it possible to record significant quantities of cereals produced and collected so far.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The participants also discussed farmers\u2019 expectations regarding the renewal and modernization of agricultural equipment. This step is seen as essential to improving and increasing the productivity of national cereal production, in support of the country\u2019s food security policy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In this context, and based on the instructions of the President of the Republic, the Prime Minister gave directives to take the necessary measures for distributing harvesters and threshers according to a carefully studied scientific approach and technical criteria. These criteria must take into account the harvest plan of each province, while ensuring the availability of the necessary maintenance services so that this equipment can be used at full capacity and the campaign can continue under the best possible conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Prime Minister also issued directives concerning preparations for the next season. These include strengthening national production capacities for this type of equipment through national companies, with the possibility of establishing partnerships with leading international companies in the field. The aim is to meet farmers\u2019 needs according to the technical specifications they have expressed, while ensuring the highest possible level of national integration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
