The provisional results of Algeria\u2019s legislative elections, held on July 2, 2026, showed that the National Liberation Front, known as the FLN, maintained its leading position with 90 seats in the People\u2019s National Assembly. It was followed by the National Democratic Rally, known as the RND, and then the Future Front.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The results were announced on Monday by Karim Khelifane, acting president of the National Independent Authority for Elections, during a press conference held at the International Conference Center in Algiers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to Khelifane, the FLN came first with a total of 90 seats, including 85 seats won inside the country and five seats representing the national community abroad. The RND ranked second with 73 seats, including 71 seats inside Algeria and two seats abroad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Future Front came in third place after securing 59 seats, including 57 seats inside the country and two seats abroad. The Movement of Society for Peace obtained 43 seats, confirming its presence among the main political forces represented in the new parliamentary composition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The National Construction Movement won 38 seats in total, including 37 seats inside Algeria and one seat abroad. Independent candidates also achieved a notable result, obtaining 32 seats, including 30 inside the country and two abroad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Voice of the People Party secured 17 seats, while the Socialist Forces Front obtained 12 seats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
These provisional results outline the first political balance of the new People\u2019s National Assembly following the July 2 vote. They show that traditional political parties continue to hold important positions, while several other parties and independent candidates also managed to secure parliamentary representation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
