Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Kamel Baddari announced the approval of new academic tracks and specializations aimed at keeping pace with Algeria\u2019s economic and social development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Speaking during a press conference held on Tuesday at the ministry\u2019s headquarters, Baddari explained that the new programs include 13 specializations linked to the professions of the future. These fields cover areas such as proteins, seeds and smart cities, reflecting the sector\u2019s desire to adapt university training to emerging national and global needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The minister also announced the launch of a State Engineer program in artificial intelligence. This program is part of a broader objective to train 30,000 specialists in artificial intelligence by 2030.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Baddari also revealed the opening of modern specializations in medicine and health sciences, in coordination with the Ministry of Health. These include a bachelor\u2019s degree in dental health and hygiene, a master\u2019s degree in genetic counseling, a master\u2019s degree in medical artificial intelligence, a master\u2019s degree in bioinformatics, and a master\u2019s degree in addiction science.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He also announced the opening of a pharmacy department at the University of Saida, the approval of a master\u2019s degree in anesthesia at paramedical training institutions, and a post-specialization diploma in precision medicine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The minister further highlighted the strengthening of double-degree programs and individual academic tracks. These include training offers in archaeological heritage and digital technology, as well as international relations and energy strategy. New double-degree programs have also been approved in seven universities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the same context, Baddari announced the launch of programs designed to strengthen and promote national identity. These include a training offer in media and communication in the Amazigh language, specializing in audiovisual studies, in coordination with the High Commission for Amazighity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He also referred to internationally visible training programs developed through twinning partnerships, including the approval of six new academic offers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
