Algeria has decided to fully reopen its national airspace to Malian air traffic starting Friday, July 10, 2026, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of National Defence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The decision covers all flights heading to Mali or coming from Mali through different international routes. This means that civilian and military aircraft linked to Malian air traffic will once again be able to use Algerian airspace under the conditions set by the relevant aviation authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In its statement, the ministry said: \u201cAlgeria has decided, starting today, Friday, July 10, 2026, to fully reopen its national airspace to Malian air traffic.\u201d It added that the measure includes all flights departing from or arriving in Mali across various international destinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This decision marks an important step in the gradual easing of tensions between Algeria and Mali. Airspace restrictions had been part of the diplomatic crisis that affected relations between the two neighboring countries in 2025, following the dispute linked to the downing of a Malian drone near the border. At that time, both countries imposed reciprocal air traffic restrictions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
