Algeria\u2019s Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has launched a fully digital preliminary registration process for holders of the 2026 Baccalaureate, eliminating the need for students to visit any university or administrative office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Abdeljabbar Daoudi, adviser to the minister, explained that candidates must access the dedicated online platform using their Baccalaureate registration number as the username and the password printed on the official results transcript issued by the Ministry of National Education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He added that the traditional paper version of the ministerial orientation guide, which previously exceeded 200 pages, has been permanently replaced by an interactive digital platform. The system allows students to explore available university programmes, admission requirements, required averages, priority rules and access conditions across Algeria\u2019s provinces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The ministry has also launched a new Android application available in Arabic and English. It gives candidates access to the orientation guide and includes an automatic weighted-average calculator. Students enter their overall Baccalaureate average and subject grades, and the application calculates the weighted score in less than a second, helping families assess the chances of admission to different programmes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For the first time, the ministry has introduced a 24-hour artificial intelligence assistant to answer students\u2019 questions about educational services, administrative procedures and university pathways. The tool was designed and developed by third-year artificial intelligence students at the Sidi Abdellah university hub.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The number of programme choices has also increased from 10 to 12, including two compulsory selections under the LMD system. The measure aims to improve students\u2019 chances of receiving one of their preferred options after last year\u2019s satisfaction rate reached around 63 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For medical sciences, the minimum application average has been set at 16 out of 20. Final admission will still depend on demand and the number of available places across the country during the final orientation process.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
