The red alert is in effect from <strong>9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.<\/strong>, reflecting the significant health risks associated with prolonged exposure to extreme heat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The meteorological authority also issued a <strong>Level 2 Orange Alert<\/strong> for another group of provinces, including Tlemcen, Sidi Bel Abb\u00e8s, Sa\u00efda, Mascara, Tiaret, Tissemsilt, M\u00e9d\u00e9a, Blida, Djelfa, M\u2019Sila, Tizi Ouzou, Bouira, S\u00e9tif, Mila, Bordj Bou Arr\u00e9ridj, Constantine, Souk Ahras, Batna, Khenchela, Oum El Bouaghi and T\u00e9bessa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In these provinces, maximum temperatures are expected to range between <strong>44\u00b0C and 46\u00b0C<\/strong>, with the alert remaining in force until <strong>6:00 a.m. on Sunday<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The heat wave also extends to the coastal provinces of A\u00efn T\u00e9mouchent, Oran, Mostaganem, Tipaza, Algiers and Boumerd\u00e8s. While temperatures in these areas are expected to range between <strong>39\u00b0C and 41\u00b0C<\/strong>, southern parts of the provinces could experience temperatures reaching or exceeding <strong>42\u00b0C to 44\u00b0C<\/strong>. These conditions are expected to persist through Sunday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The National Office of Meteorology urged residents in the affected regions to exercise extreme caution, particularly during the hottest hours of the day. Authorities recommend avoiding unnecessary outdoor activities, staying well hydrated, limiting direct exposure to sunlight and paying particular attention to vulnerable groups, including children, older adults and people with chronic health conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Algerian authorities continue to monitor the evolving weather situation closely and are coordinating with the relevant services to ensure public safety.
