{"id":66174,"date":"2026-07-25T14:05:24","date_gmt":"2026-07-25T13:05:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dzwatch.dz\/?p=66174"},"modified":"2026-07-25T14:05:25","modified_gmt":"2026-07-25T13:05:25","slug":"esperance-tunis-ends-contract-renewal-talks-with-algerias-youcef-belaili","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dzwatch.dz\/?p=66174","title":{"rendered":"Esp\u00e9rance Tunis Ends Contract Renewal Talks with Algeria\u2019s Youcef Bela\u00efli"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Esp\u00e9rance Sportive de Tunis announced on Friday that it has officially closed the file on renewing the contract of Algerian international <strong>Youcef Bela\u00efli<\/strong>, bringing weeks of negotiations to an end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a statement, the Tunisian club said the decision came after <strong>all stages of negotiations had been exhausted<\/strong> and every agreed deadline had passed without the renewal being finalized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the club, discussions began on <strong>June 5<\/strong>, when an initial agreement was reached between club president Hamdi Meddeb, vice-president Chokri Ouaer and Bela\u00efli for a <strong>two-year contract extension<\/strong>. The agreement was part of the club\u2019s strategy to preserve the team&#8217;s core players and ensure stability ahead of the new season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Esp\u00e9rance said it remained committed to the agreement because of Bela\u00efli\u2019s importance to the squad and even reserved one of its limited registration spots while awaiting the completion of the deal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The club added that it fulfilled all of its commitments by offering the player a competitive financial package that maintained his previous salary without any reduction, settling his outstanding dues and providing all documents needed to support his case before the Court of Arbitration for Sport regarding a FIFA disciplinary matter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Medical examinations and contract-signing appointments were scheduled on several occasions. Although a new agreement set <strong>July 21, 2026<\/strong> as the signing date, Bela\u00efli did not attend.
