Algeria\u2019s Ministry of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion officially opened the National Exhibition of Algerian Fruits for Export on Thursday in the province of Sidi Bel Abb\u00e8s, highlighting the country\u2019s growing ambitions to expand agricultural exports and diversify its economy beyond hydrocarbons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The exhibition was inaugurated by Samir Derraji, Director General for Export Promotion at the ministry, alongside the Governor of Sidi Bel Abb\u00e8s, Kamel Hadji. The event is being organized by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion in coordination with the provincial authorities and will run from July 30 to August 2, 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Around 30 exhibitors, including producers and exporters from various regions of Algeria, are participating in the event. They are showcasing a wide selection of premium Algerian fruits and natural products destined for international markets, demonstrating the increasing capabilities of domestic producers and the growing competitiveness of Algerian agricultural products abroad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n During the opening ceremony, the officials toured the exhibition stands, where they viewed a diverse range of high-quality fruits and locally produced natural products that have attracted increasing demand in international markets due to their quality and compliance with global standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Exhibitors also presented their production and export capacities, outlining ongoing efforts to improve product quality and strengthen competitiveness. They highlighted modern harvesting, sorting, packaging, and storage technologies that help preserve freshness and ensure compliance with the requirements of foreign markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The exhibition serves as a professional platform bringing together producers, exporters, and economic operators to foster new commercial partnerships and business opportunities.
