The event in Algiers will feature an introductory workshop, institutional interventions from both Italian and Algerian representatives, and B2B meetings on the first day. A visit to an agricultural enterprise is planned for the second day, further facilitating practical engagement and partnership opportunities.<\/p>\n
Algeria is currently undergoing a significant economic transformation, with agriculture positioned at the core of its food security strategy, contributing approximately 15% to the national GDP. The country boasts over 8.6 million hectares of usable agricultural land and a substantial land portfolio for investments, particularly in the Grand South, as exemplified by the Italian group BF operating a 37,000-hectare agricultural concession in Timimoun since 2024. Given that nearly 70% of Algeria\u2019s agricultural activity still relies on traditional methods, there is an urgent need for modernization.
