This preparation aims to develop a comprehensive plan for the oil field, which is projected to yield over 20,000 barrels per day for a period of 20 years. Minister Arkab confirmed that Sonatrach will provide its extensive expertise to SONIDEP for the successful execution of this development plan. Additionally, the parties addressed the progress of activities at the "Kafra" oil block, where Sonatrach is also a partner, and reviewed the status of refining projects in Zinder, crucial for enhancing Niger's refining capabilities and ensuring petroleum product supply.<\/p>\n
Further expanding the scope of their collaboration, the talks explored new opportunities, including the potential for Algeria to supply Niger with jet fuel and various other types of fuel. Cooperation between Naftal and SONIDEP was also discussed, specifically concerning a project for a bitumen supply center in Zinder. To support these initiatives, a training course for a Nigerien delegation on refinery maintenance will be held in Algeria, aimed at bolstering technical and operational capacities.
