Marwa Saudi told Deutsche Welle on Thursday that the network includes businesswomen from Germany, Egypt, Tunisia, Senegal, C\u00f4te d&#8217;Ivoire, Lebanon, and <a class=\"dzsl-auto-link dzsl-internal\" data-dzsl=\"internal\" href=\"https:\/\/dzwatch.dz\/?cat=1\">Algeria<\/a>, and that the award recognizes women entrepreneurs who use and develop <a class=\"dzsl-auto-link dzsl-internal\" data-dzsl=\"internal\" href=\"https:\/\/dzwatch.dz\/?cat=38\">technology<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Saudi, a member of the Alexandria Businesswomen&#8217;s Association, was nominated for the award as an engineer and leading expert in AI and educational technology in Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Innovative E-Learning Platform<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Saudi founded &#8220;IdeasGym,&#8221; an innovative e-learning platform that uses novel methods to build children&#8217;s capacities in <a class=\"dzsl-auto-link dzsl-internal\" data-dzsl=\"internal\" href=\"https:\/\/dzwatch.dz\/?cat=35\">science<\/a>, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). The platform specializes in teaching STEM subjects, including robotics, programming, mobile applications, electronics, Arduino, and the Internet of Things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The platform integrates AI, game-based learning analytics, gamification, hybrid communication, and educational care applications to support students throughout their learning journey, according to Saudi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The platform has achieved notable success, with its &#8220;Online Lego Robotics&#8221; course using virtual reality winning second place in the UN Innovation Lab Challenge in Espoo, Finland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Teaching AI<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Saudi also won first place in the small and medium enterprises category at the Women in ICT Awards, hosted by the <a class=\"dzsl-auto-link dzsl-external\" data-dzsl=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/www.un.org\/en\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">United Nations<\/a> Development Program and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of Saudi&#8217;s courses on teaching AI and robotics was listed by UNESCO in 2020 as one of the innovative courses in AI education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Currently, Marwa Saudi is pursuing her PhD at Tallinn University in Estonia, focusing on responsible green AI and building a reliable AI ecosystem for small and medium-sized enterprises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Business Innovation Award for Women in Germany 2024<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Egyptian AI and education pioneer, Marwa Saudi, has won the 2024 Business Innovation Award for Women in Berlin, Germany.
