The President of the Council of the Nation, Salah Goudjil, stated that “Algeria has many visible and hidden enemies, and we are aware of this.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In his speech on Sunday, during the closing of the 2023\/2024 parliamentary session, Goudjil emphasized Algeria’s renowned diplomacy, adding, “We are not aligned with everyone, nor against everyone; our stance is always independent and respected.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Regarding the upcoming presidential elections, the President of the Council of the Nation explained that they would provide an opportunity for “the Algerian people to stand as one and participate strongly in the elections.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He added, “We are at a critical stage, and the presidential elections represent a chance for the Algerian people to stand united and participate vigorously in the elections.” He affirmed that strong participation would enable Algeria to send a powerful message to the world, further strengthening Algeria’s international standing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Goudjil emphasized that the current phase requires awareness and that everyone should “know where their responsibility begins and ends.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He pointed out that “our motto is derived from the Declaration of November 1st, which is ‘from the people and to the people,’ with the source of authority being the people, and governance serving the people.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On international matters, Salah Goudjil reiterated Algeria’s steadfast stance on the Palestinian cause, stating that it has not changed since the beginning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He added, “What is happening in Palestine today is real genocide, and the suffering of the Palestinian people today closely resembles what the Algerian people experienced under French colonialism.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
