Japan also supports Palestinian efforts to achieve this goal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Minister Kamikawa added, &#8220;Regarding the recognition of the Palestinian state, we want to continue addressing this issue comprehensively, considering how to advance the peace process.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This announcement follows a recent call by the Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, who urged Japan on Monday to recognize the Palestinian state.
