A high-level delegation from South Africa&#39;s Ministry of Mineral Resources and Petroleum, accompanied by representatives from the South African National Petroleum Company (SANPC) and the South African Petroleum Agency (PASA), was received by Algeria&#39;s Ministry of Hydrocarbons Secretary General Mouled Miloud, alongside other key officials. The week-long visit focuses on exploring joint ventures and strengthening bilateral ties in the energy domain.<\/p>\n<p>The discussions delve into various stages of the hydrocarbon value chain, including research, exploration, field development, refining, and petrochemicals. Specific attention is being given to the marketing of liquefied natural gas (LNG), with the objective of establishing a strategic and commercial partnership between Algeria&#39;s national oil company, <a class=\"dzsl-auto-link dzsl-external\" data-dzsl=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/sonatrach.com\/en\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Sonatrach<\/a>, and SANPC. This comprehensive agenda seeks to maximize mutual benefits from both nations&#39; energy resources and expertise.<\/p>\n<p>This visit is part of ongoing efforts to reinforce South-South cooperation and deepen the historical bonds and strategic partnership between Algeria and South Africa. It serves to implement the outcomes of the state visit by South African President Cyril Ramaphosa to Algeria, at the invitation of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and to activate previous official talks between the Algerian Minister of Hydrocarbons Mohamed Arkab and his South African counterpart.<\/p>\n<p>The South African delegation&#39;s program includes a series of working meetings and technical exchange workshops with major Algerian institutions in the hydrocarbons sector, such as Sonatrach, the National Agency for Hydrocarbon Resources Valorization (ALNAFT), the Hydrocarbon Regulatory Authority (ARH), and the Algerian Institute of Petroleum (IAP).
