Speaking at the opening of the new parliamentary session, Ms. Bouafdesh underscored the Council's unwavering support for all decisions made by the President of the Republic, aimed at safeguarding national sovereignty<\/a>, defending Algeria's stability and security, and combating crime.<\/p>\n

Ms. Bouafdesh highlighted that recent national events, specifically the wildfires, served as a testament to Algeria's unified spirit, demonstrating how its citizens stand together during adversity. This, she noted, proved the nation's strength as a solidary and cohesive system, encompassing its people, government, and security and civil institutions. She further stressed the importance of prioritizing cooperation over polarization, responsibility over political maneuvering, and constructive dialogue over tension, fostering consensus on critical national issues.<\/p>\n

In addressing Algeria's standing on the international stage, the President affirmed that the nation's presence abroad reflects the strength of its national decisions and its esteemed position among other countries. She expressed the Council's endorsement of the President's foreign policy, which adeptly defends Algeria's supreme interests and the independence of its national decision-making.
