The government is committed to supporting initiatives that promote national self-sufficiency in this essential product. Two major projects are now underway, spearheaded by the Algerian dairy group Giplait and the Baladna Alg\u00e9rie partnership.<\/p>\n<p>The Giplait group is preparing to launch infant milk production through an international partnership with the Belarusian company Bellakt. A Memorandum of Understanding was recently signed between Giplait&#39;s P-DG, Samah Lahlouh, and Bellakt&#39;s Director General, Lupik Vitaly. This agreement facilitates information exchange, laying the groundwork for a future joint venture dedicated to <a class=\"dzsl-auto-link dzsl-internal\" data-dzsl=\"internal\" href=\"https:\/\/dzwatch.dz\/?p=78225\">infant milk production in Algeria<\/a>. This collaboration builds on earlier discussions and a cooperation agreement signed in February, which itself stemmed from recommendations made during an Algerian-Belarusian business forum in December.<\/p>\n<p>Concurrently, the <a class=\"dzsl-auto-link dzsl-external\" data-dzsl=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/www.industrie.gov.dz\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Ministry of Industry<\/a> has affirmed its support for the Baladna Alg\u00e9rie project, a partnership involving Qatar&#39;s <a class=\"dzsl-auto-link dzsl-internal\" data-dzsl=\"internal\" href=\"https:\/\/dzwatch.dz\/?p=78152\">Power International Holding<\/a> (through its subsidiary UCC Holding) and the Algerian public group Madar. Baladna Alg\u00e9rie, a subsidiary of the Qatari group, will be responsible for supplying the raw milk to the production facility. Minister of Industry Farid Kourtel met with a Qatari delegation to discuss the project&#39;s progress, emphasizing the sector&#39;s commitment to ensuring coordination among all stakeholders and fostering an equitable and beneficial partnership. The Minister of Vocational Training and <a class=\"dzsl-auto-link dzsl-external\" data-dzsl=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/www.unesco.org\/en\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Education<\/a> also participated in the meeting, highlighting the importance of specialized training programs to develop a skilled Algerian workforce, thereby strengthening local integration.
