This initiative aims to strengthen bilateral cooperation between the two nations within the pharmaceutical sector, as announced by the Ministry of Pharmaceutical Industry. The delegation, led by Younes Bouarara, the <a class=\"dzsl-auto-link dzsl-internal\" data-dzsl=\"internal\" href=\"https:\/\/dzwatch.dz\/?p=78493\">Director General<\/a> of the public group Saidal, convened with Benin&#39;s Minister of <a class=\"dzsl-auto-link dzsl-external\" data-dzsl=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/www.who.int\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Health<\/a>, Benjamin Ignace Bodounrin Hounkpatin, in a meeting also attended by <a class=\"dzsl-auto-link dzsl-internal\" data-dzsl=\"internal\" href=\"https:\/\/dzwatch.dz\/?cat=1\">Algeria<\/a>&#39;s Ambassador to Benin, Ammar Hadjar.<\/p>\n<p>Discussions during the visit focused on various avenues to enhance cooperation and partnership in drug production between Algeria and Benin. Key topics included exploring opportunities to expand trade, reinforce the presence of Algerian pharmaceutical products in the Beninese market, and examining prospects for collaboration in training, as well as the transfer of expertise and technologies. These efforts are designed to build local capabilities and foster mutual growth in the health sector.<\/p>\n<p>The Ministry stated that this visit aligns with the implementation of conclusions from the African Ministerial Conference on Local Production of Medicines and Other Health Technologies. Held in Algiers in November 2025, the conference culminated in the unanimous adoption of the &quot;Declaration of Algiers,&quot; which serves as a strategic roadmap for bolstering the African continent&#39;s health sovereignty.
