The project&#39;s approval followed a comprehensive technical study, leading to the adoption of a structural and sustainable solution focused on correcting and expanding the port&#39;s protective infrastructure. This approach is designed to mitigate sand accumulation within the port basin and tackle its root causes, moving beyond temporary dredging operations.<\/p>\n<p>The public company MEDITRAM, specializing in such engineering works, has been tasked with the execution of the Sidi Lakhdar project. An estimated budget of approximately 341.6 billion centimes has been allocated for the operation, with a projected completion period of 30 months. This substantial <a class=\"dzsl-auto-link dzsl-internal\" data-dzsl=\"internal\" href=\"https:\/\/dzwatch.dz\/?cat=50\">investment<\/a> is intended to bolster the port&#39;s capacity, enabling it to better accommodate fishing activities under optimized conditions, thereby ensuring a qualitative transformation in its structures and capabilities.<\/p>\n<p>During the launch, Governor Boudouh issued several directives, including a study into the feasibility of transporting the extracted sand for use in reinforcing Sedawa beach, which requires such intervention. He also emphasized the necessity of designating a dedicated entry and exit route for project-related trucks to maintain smooth workflow.
