This commitment underscores Algeria&#39;s consistent support for the self-determination of the Sahrawi people, aiming for a just, lasting, and definitive solution consistent with UN resolutions.<\/p>\n<p>Minister Attaf further clarified Algeria&#39;s perspective on the recent UN Security Council resolution, asserting that it secured &quot;major achievements&quot; for the Polisario Front, bolstering its position on a strong foundation fully rooted in international legality. He specifically highlighted that Morocco&#39;s autonomy plan was not designated as the &quot;sole basis of negotiations&quot; within the resolution.<\/p>\n<p>Another significant achievement, according to Minister Attaf, was the renewal for one year of the mandate for the United Nations Mission for the Organization of a Referendum in Western Sahara (MINURSO). He emphasized that the mission is explicitly tasked with organizing a self-determination referendum, as its name clearly indicates.
