Acting on instructions from the President of the Republic, this participation highlights Algeria&#39;s commitment to active engagement within the multilateral system. The nation&#39;s involvement at this high-level UN event further demonstrates its dedication to fostering international peace and security, advocating for just global causes, and promoting cooperation and solidarity among nations.<\/p>\n<p>During his visit, <a class=\"dzsl-auto-link dzsl-internal\" data-dzsl=\"internal\" href=\"https:\/\/dzwatch.dz\/?p=78743\">Minister Attaf<\/a> is scheduled to participate in the General Debate of the UN General Assembly, which will take place from September 22 to 28, 2026. This debate is centered around the theme &quot;Rebuilding trust, managing transformation: a United Nations that delivers for all.&quot; The high-level segment of the General Assembly includes several significant meetings addressing priority issues on the international agenda. These discussions encompass the 40th anniversary of the Declaration on the Right to Development, the 25th anniversary of the Durban Declaration and Programme of Action against Racism and Racial Discrimination, as well as high-level meetings concerning rising sea levels, climate action, and a just transition.<\/p>\n<p>On the sidelines of the General Assembly&#39;s high-level proceedings, Minister Attaf will attend a series of ministerial meetings focused on various regional and international matters. Key topics include the <a class=\"dzsl-auto-link dzsl-internal\" data-dzsl=\"internal\" href=\"https:\/\/dzwatch.dz\/?cat=48\">Palestinian<\/a> issue and developments in the Middle East, peace and security in Africa, and digital transformations. Algeria will also maintain its active presence within various regional and international frameworks and blocs, participating in coordination meetings and side encounters of the Arab League, the <a class=\"dzsl-auto-link dzsl-external\" data-dzsl=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/www.au.int\/en\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">African Union<\/a>, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and the Group of 77 and China.
