During these discussions, Bangladesh sought <a class=\"dzsl-auto-link dzsl-internal\" data-dzsl=\"internal\" href=\"https:\/\/dzwatch.dz\/?cat=1\">Algeria<\/a>&#39;s enhanced cooperation in ensuring its long-term energy security and contributing to <a class=\"dzsl-auto-link dzsl-external\" data-dzsl=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/www.fao.org\/home\/en\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">food security<\/a> through the supply of fertilizers.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond immediate security concerns, both nations discussed broader avenues for strengthening cooperation across various sectors. Bangladeshi officials proposed increased collaboration in trade, <a class=\"dzsl-auto-link dzsl-internal\" data-dzsl=\"internal\" href=\"https:\/\/dzwatch.dz\/?cat=50\">investment<\/a>, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, and the shipbuilding and construction industries. State Minister Shama Obaed Islam specifically requested Algeria consider importing more eco-friendly jute and jute products from Bangladesh. Discussions also touched upon combating climate change impacts, youth and <a class=\"dzsl-auto-link dzsl-internal\" data-dzsl=\"internal\" href=\"https:\/\/dzwatch.dz\/?cat=40\">sports<\/a> initiatives, and joint cultural exchanges.<\/p>\n<p>Ambassador Sa\u00efdani responded positively, reaffirming Algeria&#39;s commitment to elevating the existing bilateral relationship. He indicated Algeria&#39;s readiness to cooperate further in areas including energy, pharmaceuticals, fertilizers, shipbuilding, and establishing maritime shipping lines. The Ambassador also emphasized the importance of high-level visit exchanges and strengthened sports and cultural ties to deepen the partnership between the two countries.
