The championship, which concluded recently at the Mohamed Boudiaf Olympic Complex in Algiers, was a landmark event, reflecting the continuous efforts of the Algerian Federation in coordination with technical staff and the national directorate. This impressive tally included 67 gold, 58 silver, and 47 bronze medals. Tunisia placed second with 76 medals, while Mauritius secured third place with 14 medals. The competition, held from September 17 to 20, was the first time Algeria hosted the African Championship for senior, hopefuls, juniors, and cadets categories, and saw the participation of over 250 athletes from nine African nations, including the Democratic Republic of Congo, Mali, Cameroon, and Senegal.<\/p>\n<p>This achievement firmly establishes Algeria&#39;s position as the top-ranked nation in Ju-Jitsu within both the Arab and African regions. The national coach highlighted the federation&#39;s long-term strategy, which has seen a steady improvement in technical results, progressing from a third-place finish in 2019 to second place in 2023 and 2025, culminating in this year&#39;s championship title. The growing international stature of Algeria in Ju-Jitsu is further exemplified by the presence of several Algerian athletes in the world rankings, including world champion Montasser Boutouta, who holds the global number one position.
