Lieutenant Colonel Nassim Bernaoui, Deputy Director of Information and Awareness at the General Directorate of Civil Protection, expressed gratitude for these measures. These include comprehensive wage increases and a review of the basic law governing Civil Protection employees, aimed at strengthening the sector&#39;s capacities in response to the challenges posed by climate change and major risks faced by emergency personnel.<\/p>\n<p>The new governmental support is particularly timely given the extensive demands placed on Civil Protection services. Since the beginning of the year, Civil Protection has carried out over one million interventions across various fields, with approximately 600,000 related to <a class=\"dzsl-auto-link dzsl-external\" data-dzsl=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/www.who.int\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">health<\/a> services. This level of activity reflects the daily efforts of emergency personnel throughout the country, operating amidst what has been described as an exceptional summer season marked by a high number of incidents and fires.<\/p>\n<p>The commitment to public safety is further demonstrated by the activation of prevention and rescue operations on beaches since January 1st. These efforts have resulted in over 91,000 interventions, surpassing the figures recorded for the same period last year, even before the summer season concluded. Through these operations, rescue teams successfully saved over 65,000 individuals and provided assistance to more than 22,000 people, highlighting the critical role and effectiveness of Algeria&#39;s Civil Protection services.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>President Abdelmadjid Tebboune&#8217;s recent decisions have led to enhanced capabilities and comprehensive wage increases for Algeria&#8217;s Civil Protection sector.
