State Minister and Minister of Hydrocarbons, Mohamed Arkab, presided over the ceremony. He was joined by Minister of Public Works and Basic Infrastructure, Abdelkader Djellaoui, and Minister of Mines and Mining Industries, Mourad Hanifi. Also in attendance were the Wali of Annaba, Abdelkrim Lamouri, and <a class=\"dzsl-auto-link dzsl-external\" data-dzsl=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/sonatrach.com\/en\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Sonatrach<\/a> Group CEO, Noureddine Daoudi.<\/p>\n<p>This phase specifically addresses the realization of port installations for the mineral quay. These facilities are designed to serve as the final link in the project&#39;s logistical chain, facilitating the reception and loading of enriched phosphate, fertilizers, and related products. These materials are destined for both national consumption and export to regional and international markets. The initiative underpins an integrated industrial and logistical vision to enhance <a class=\"dzsl-auto-link dzsl-external\" data-dzsl=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/www.fao.org\/home\/en\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">food security<\/a> and diversify exports beyond hydrocarbons.<\/p>\n<p>The comprehensive project aims to connect the Bled El Hadba mine in Bir El Ater, the Oued Kebrit chemical transformation plant in Souk Ahras, the national railway transport network, and the Annaba port installations. This integration covers all stages from phosphate extraction and enrichment to its transformation, the production of fertilizers and chemical products, and their subsequent transport, marketing, and export.
