However, realizing and capitalizing on these significant assets economically depends on robust infrastructure capable of efficiently and cost-effectively transporting people, goods, and raw materials. Tigherisi noted that the railway could serve as a "backbone" linking production zones to consumption and processing centers, as well as ports.
