President Boudafi emphasized the distinguished friendship and cooperation between Algeria and Australia, rooted in historical ties, and underscored the necessity of elevating these relationships, including in parliamentary cooperation.<\/p>\n<p>In support of this cooperative spirit, the President of the National People&#39;s Assembly welcomed the prompt formation of the Algerian-Australian Parliamentary Friendship Group, seeing it as a positive step for legislative relations. She also noted that a second round of political consultations between the two nations could provide further momentum to bilateral cooperation. For his part, Milton Dick recognized both Australia and Algeria as democracies sharing similar approaches and highlighted the natural resources of both countries, stressing the importance of encouraging inter-investment and expanding economic and commercial cooperation to match the strong bilateral relationship.
