Algiers \u2013 The General Directorate of National Security has developed a preventive security plan to ensure the appropriate conditions for the 2024-2025 school year across its areas of jurisdiction, in coordination with the relevant authorities, according to a statement released by the National Security Services on Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The statement noted that operational units are working through this plan to ensure smooth traffic flow on main and secondary roads, especially during peak hours, with a focus on routes leading to educational institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In this context, drivers are urged to avoid random parking and stopping near schools and training centers to prevent traffic congestion and ensure student safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Additionally, starting Sunday, the General Directorate of National Security will launch a national traffic safety campaign in collaboration with the National Gendarmerie. The campaign, under the slogan “Together for a School Year Without Traffic Accidents,” will feature awareness activities for drivers, offering advice on adhering to traffic laws, driving responsibly, avoiding excessive speed, and preventing dangerous overtaking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Directorate also reminds citizens that the emergency numbers 1548 and 17, as well as the digital platforms of the Algerian police, remain available 24\/7 for public assistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
