The match, played at the K\u00e9gu\u00e9 Stadium in Lom\u00e9, was part of the fourth round of Group E qualifiers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The only goal of the match came in the 18th minute, when defender Ramy Benseba\u00efni scored from a penalty, giving Algeria the lead early in the first half.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the same group, Equatorial Guinea defeated Liberia 2-1 in Monrovia on Monday, with goals from Esui (21&#8242;) and Hanza (90+4&#8242;) for Equatorial Guinea, while Gibson (53&#8242;) netted Liberia\u2019s only goal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With this victory, Algeria has won all four of their matches in the qualifiers, bringing their total points to 12, comfortably securing the top spot in Group E. Equatorial Guinea follows in second place with 7 points, Togo in third with 2 points, and Liberia at the bottom with just 1 point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The final two rounds of the qualifiers will take place between November 11 and 19, 2024. Algeria will travel to Malabo to face Equatorial Guinea in the fifth round before hosting Liberia in the final match of the qualification stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The top two teams from each group will qualify for the AFCON finals, which are scheduled to take place from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026. Algeria has now qualified for eight consecutive AFCON tournaments, starting from the 2013 edition held in South Africa.
