Shaheed El-Hafed<\/strong> \u2013 On Monday, Ibrahim Ghali<\/strong>, President of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR)<\/strong> and Secretary-General of the Polisario Front<\/strong>, received a Spanish delegation from the Basque Country<\/strong> and an Italian delegation<\/strong> currently visiting the Sahrawi refugee camps. Both delegations expressed their solidarity and support for the Sahrawi people’s struggle for self-determination<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the Sahrawi News Agency (SPS)<\/strong>, the meeting took place at the presidential headquarters in Shaheed El-Hafed<\/strong>, within the Sahrawi refugee camps. During his discussions with the Basque delegation, President Ghali expressed his deep gratitude<\/strong> for the unwavering solidarity and support shown by friendship and solidarity associations<\/strong> from the Basque Country towards the Sahrawi cause.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sahrawi President Updates Delegations on the Latest Developments<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

President Ghali briefed the Spanish delegation on the latest developments in the Sahrawi struggle<\/strong> and the achievements<\/strong> made on both national and international fronts. He reaffirmed the Sahrawi people’s commitment to continuing their fight for freedom and independence<\/strong>, stressing that they will persevere despite the sacrifices made, especially in light of the ongoing conflict.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Basque delegation also toured Sahrawi institutions<\/strong> operating within the refugee camps and observed several projects funded by the Basque government<\/strong>, gaining insight into the daily challenges and ongoing efforts within the camps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Italian Delegation from CISP Visits Refugee Camps<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In a parallel meeting, President Ghali hosted a delegation from the International Committee for the Development of Peoples (CISP)<\/strong>, led by Alessandro Di Luca<\/strong>. The Italian delegation visited the Sahrawi camps as part of their solidarity efforts and to oversee the launch of a humanitarian project<\/strong> funded by the Italian Agency for International Cooperation<\/strong>. The project focuses on sectors such as health, education, and economic development<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CISP, one of the oldest non-governmental organizations active in the Sahrawi refugee camps, has maintained a long-standing partnership with the Sahrawi Red Crescent<\/strong>, collaborating on several humanitarian initiatives to support the refugees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
