New York (United Nations)<\/strong> \u2013 The A3+ Group<\/strong> reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Central African Republic (CAR)<\/strong> during a meeting at the United Nations on Wednesday. At the same time, the group expressed concern over the complex challenges facing the country<\/strong>, spanning political, security, and human rights issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The A3+ Group<\/strong>\u2014comprising the three African nations holding non-permanent seats on the UN Security Council (Algeria, Sierra Leone, and Mozambique<\/strong>) along with Guyana<\/strong> from the Caribbean\u2014issued the statement through Amar Benjama\u00e2<\/strong>, Algeria\u2019s Permanent Representative to the UN, during a briefing on the situation in the Central African Republic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
