El Oued<\/strong> \u2013 The 11th edition<\/strong> of the Local Cultural Festival of Soufi Music and Song kicked off on Thursday evening at the Mohamed El-Amin Al-Amoudi Cultural House<\/strong> in the city of El Oued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The opening ceremony<\/strong> featured a powerful performance of the operetta “Gaza”<\/strong>, which draws from six poetic works composed by Dr. Saleh Khattab<\/strong>. The operetta reflects the suffering of the Palestinian people<\/strong> under brutal Israeli aggression and genocide, while also highlighting how Algeria\u2019s liberation revolution<\/strong> has inspired oppressed nations in their pursuit of freedom and independence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Directed by Nabil Mesai Ahmed<\/strong>, the 25-minute theatrical performance featured 15 actors<\/strong>, who delivered expressive body movements on stage, depicting the Palestinian struggle since the Nakba of 1948<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The opening event was attended by a range of local artistic figures<\/strong>, both professionals and amateurs, united by their shared passion for music, singing, and poetry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Competition and Festival Program: October 24 – 27<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This edition of the festival, running from October 24 to 27<\/strong>, brings together 10 amateur artists from the Souf region<\/strong>, who will compete over four days in a contest for the Best Vocal Performance<\/strong>. Participants aim to win one of the festival\u2019s three prestigious awards:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
