Tunis, Tunisia<\/strong> \u2013 Algerian rower Ibrahim Gendouz, who previously won a bronze medal at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, claimed the gold medal in the 200-meter kayak race on the opening day of the 2024 Arab Canoe Kayak and Paracanoe Championship held in Tunis. His victory brings Algeria’s total gold medal count to an impressive nine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Dominant Start for Algeria<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Algerian team dominated the first day of the competition, held in the Tunisian capital, securing nine gold medals across various events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ibrahim Gendouz clinched the gold in the 200-meter men’s kayak final, adding to Algeria’s string of victories. Before his triumph, Aya Frefad had already won two gold medals\u2014one in the 200-meter singles and another in the doubles event with her partner, Anfal Arabi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
