The Algerian government is set to inaugurate the National School of Public Works Management<\/strong> in Sidi Abdellah, west of Algiers, in the coming days. This significant announcement was made on Sunday by the Minister of Public Works and Infrastructure, Lakhdar Rekhroukh, through a speech delivered on his behalf by the ministry\u2019s Secretary-General, Ali Boulrabah, during the opening of the 20th edition of the International Public Works Exhibition at the Exhibition Palace in Algiers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Landmark Educational Institution<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This school, the first of its kind in Algeria, aims to elevate the standard of continuous training in the management of major projects related to public works and infrastructure. It will play a crucial role in training educators, qualifying senior executives, and strengthening human capacities across various specializations required by the sector, according to Minister Rekhroukh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The International Public Works Exhibition<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The 20th edition of the International Public Works Exhibition, running from November 24 to 27, serves as a pivotal platform to showcase ongoing and completed projects in Algeria\u2019s infrastructure sector. These projects include highways, ports, airports, and railways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Minister Rekhroukh emphasized that his ministry is determined to complete current projects and launch new, vital initiatives to contribute to Algeria’s economic growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year\u2019s exhibition, organized by the Ministry of Public Works and Infrastructure in partnership with SAFEX (Algeria\u2019s National Exhibition and Exportation Company), has attracted 232 participating companies. Among them are 22 foreign companies from countries including China, Turkey, Italy, Poland, Germany, and Portugal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Specialized institutes in public works, civil engineering, start-ups, banks, and financial institutions are also present, reflecting the event\u2019s multidisciplinary nature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Goals of the Exhibition<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The exhibition seeks to enhance Algeria\u2019s project execution and study capabilities, boost export potential, develop quality control tools, and promote innovation and applied research in the public works sector. Additionally, it aims to support entrepreneurs and start-ups, promote new techniques for infrastructure development and monitoring, and encourage innovative solutions in public works and infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event will also feature presentations on achievements in the sector, particularly in railway infrastructure, and host study days on innovative solutions for sustainable infrastructure and smart transformations in public works. Experts, professors, and researchers will lead these discussions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
