Algiers \u2013<\/strong> The Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and the Algerian Community Abroad in the Algerian Senate, Mr. Mohamed Amroune, welcomed an Iranian parliamentary delegation from the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, headed by Dr. Ebrahim Azizi, on Sunday in Algiers. The meeting was held in the presence of Iran\u2019s Ambassador to Algeria, Mr. Mohammad Reza Babaei, as stated in an official Senate communiqu\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under the mandate of Senate President Mr. Salah Goudjil, Mr. Amroune, accompanied by members of his committee, hosted the Iranian delegation to discuss avenues for enhancing the bilateral relations between Algeria and Iran. Both parties emphasized their shared commitment to mutual trust, respect, and collaboration on pressing regional and international issues, including the Palestinian cause and challenges faced by the Muslim world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting highlighted the determination of the two nations\u2019 leaders\u2014Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and his Iranian counterpart Masoud Bazshkian\u2014to elevate economic cooperation to match their exemplary political relations. Mr. Amroune praised Algeria and Iran’s alignment in international and regional forums, such as the Inter-Parliamentary Union and the Parliamentary Union of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
