Attaf Receives Phone Call from Iranian Counterpart

Algerian Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, received a phone call on Monday from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mr. Abbas Araghchi, according to an official statement from the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs124.

During the conversation, the Iranian Foreign Minister briefed Mr. Attaf on the latest developments following the Israeli aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran, as well as the ongoing repercussions of this attack on the security and stability of the region124. In response, Minister Ahmed Attaf reaffirmed Algeria’s principled and unwavering position, strongly condemning the Israeli aggression. He stressed the urgent necessity for the United Nations Security Council to fulfill its responsibilities by enforcing respect for international law and the principles of the UN Charter. Minister Attaf highlighted the importance of confronting Israel’s multi-front attacks, which have plunged the entire region into a spiral of violence, insecurity, and instability14.
