Algerian participants at the 8th edition of the Algerian Products and Services Exhibition in Nouakchott solemnly commemorated Algeria’s National Memory Day, marking the 81st anniversary of the May 8, 1945 massacres, in the presence of Algeria’s Ambassador to Mauritania, Amin Said.
The ceremony opened with the national anthem, recitation of Al-Fatiha, and a minute of silence in honor of the martyrs of Setif, Guelma, and Kherrata — a tribute to the immense sacrifices made by the Algerian people in their pursuit of freedom and independence.
Ambassador Said then delivered a dedicated address to dzwatch, honoring the historic day and reaffirming Algeria’s unwavering commitment to preserving the memory of its fallen heroes.
