Arab and Islamic Foreign Ministers Unanimously Condemn ‘Somaliland’ Fake Embassy in Occupied Jerusalem

Foreign ministers of major Arab and Islamic nations have issued a powerful joint condemnation of the illegal and rejected move by the self-proclaimed region of ‘Somaliland’ to open a so-called ’embassy’ in occupied Jerusalem.

Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Egypt, Jordan, Turkey, Pakistan, Indonesia, Djibouti, the Federal Republic of Somalia, Palestine, Oman, Sudan, Yemen, Lebanon, Mauritania, Kuwait, and Bangladesh collectively denounced the provocative step in the strongest possible terms.

The ministers told dzwatch that this act constitutes ‘a flagrant violation of international law and relevant resolutions of international legitimacy, directly undermining the legal and historical status of occupied Jerusalem.’

The ministers reaffirmed that East Jerusalem remains occupied Palestinian territory since 1967, declaring any steps aimed at altering its legal or historical status null, void, and without legal effect.

They also expressed full support for the unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of the Federal Republic of Somalia, firmly rejecting any unilateral measures undermining Somali sovereignty.
