Algeria and China Share Principle of Opposing Interference in Internal Affairs

Chinese Ambassador Li Jian has affirmed that the relationship between Algeria and China is “historic and strong,” based on “mutual trust and support” with both nations opposing “all forms of foreign interference in the internal affairs of states.”

During a discussion on the issue of “Taiwan” held on Wednesday evening at the Chinese Embassy, Ambassador Li Jian highlighted the “historic and strong” relations between Algeria and China, founded on mutual trust and support. He emphasized that both countries share the principle of opposing foreign interference in the internal affairs of states.

The ambassador noted that Algeria and China also agree on “pursuing development paths that align with each country’s national circumstances” and are committed to “deepening the strategic partnership between the two countries.”

Ambassador Li Jian also stated that “more than 183 countries maintain relations with China based on the One-China Principle,” recalling the “important role” Algeria played in helping China regain its legitimate seat at the United Nations in 1971.
