Algeria Boosts Tourism Development with Land Valorization Initiative

A crucial coordination meeting was recently held, presided over by Algeria's Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts, Houria Meddahi. The session focused on the vital process of cleansing and valorizing tourist land, aiming to enhance its potential for national development.
This initiative underscores the government's commitment to streamlining access to suitable land for tourism projects. By addressing the 'assainissement' (cleansing) and 'valorisation' (valorization) of tourist land, the effort seeks to optimize resources and facilitate investment in Algeria's burgeoning tourism sector, as indicated by a ministry communiqué.
The meeting specifically targeted several strategically important wilayas, including Jijel, Skikda, and Oran. This focused approach highlights a deliberate strategy to unlock and develop high-potential areas, contributing significantly to Algeria's broader economic diversification and growth objectives through tourism.
