Algiers – Abdelkader Bengrina, leader of the National Building Movement, stated today in Algiers that the upcoming presidential elections present a significant opportunity for national renewal and development.

Speaking at the Summer University for Youth and Students, Bengrina emphasized that the forthcoming presidential elections are a chance to enhance “national renewal in state officials and developmental projects.” These factors are crucial in the movement’s decision to support President Abdelmadjid Tebboune’s bid for a second term, considering him a “man of the stage and a pillar of national unity and sovereignty.”

During his speech, Bengrina highlighted the favorable conditions surrounding the September 7 elections, including “stringent anti-corruption laws, a public sense of security and stability, and legislative and institutional reforms that align with national and international developments to meet citizens’ needs and strengthen institutional independence.”

Bengrina reiterated his call for the “National Belt Initiative,” which aims to “support stability, advance the country, enhance national cohesion, and ensure the success of developmental programs.”

According to Bengrina, the initiative seeks to “strengthen national identity, build a protective foundation for the state, and establish traditions of collaborative work.” He added that the future requires “a political belt and societal mobilization to ensure the achievement of national goals.”

He also noted that the initiative aims to “expand support for the new Algeria, complete its building process, enhance electoral participation, form a political base that guarantees success, and foster cooperation among political partners.”
