Annaba Port Dispatches 26,000 Tons of Cement to US

Annaba port has facilitated a new export operation involving 26,000 tons of Algerian cement destined for the United States. This initiative saw the loading of cement, packaged in "Big Bags," onto the vessel MATILDA GS for the economic operator BISKRIA CIMENT, prior to its transport to the American market. The Annaba port authority mobilized all its material, human, and organizational resources to ensure the smooth execution of the operation under optimal conditions, enhancing coordination among various stakeholders to maintain fluid loading and adherence to export requirements.

This development is part of ongoing efforts to stimulate non-hydrocarbon exports and expand the international presence of Algerian products. The operation aligns with the directives of Said Sayoud, Minister of Interior, Local Collectivities and Transport, which emphasize the continued modernization and development of Algerian ports, improving their performance, and reinforcing their role in supporting foreign trade, particularly non-hydrocarbon exports.
